Land Restoration | Restore The Soil Microbes The Soil Creatures Are Hungry!
This was the wild west of a site!
We cleaned up a lot of plastic left over from the pervious farmers, drip tape, black plastic cover, tractor keys, rusty field knives, and many other treasures! Due to the use of heavy black plastic and top dressing, no compost put on in the 2023 season thus a Thistle Town was born.
We choose the West Upper half section, a.k.a. Thistle Town. The center and east laid fallow for this 2024 season.

❌ NOT ❌ all eggs are created equal.
If you don’t have your own backyard chickens like I do here’s a quick breakdown to help you make the best choice next time you’re grocery shopping for eggs:
🐓**Cage-Free**
Cage-free hens live inside barns with space to walk around , but they *never go outside**. While better than cages, their environment is still confined.😢
🐓**FREE-RANGE**
Free-range hens get some outdoor access, but it’s often **limited small spaces**. They can roam a bit, but outside time may vary. 🫣
🐓**PASTURE-RAISED**
Pasture-Raised is the gold standard! These hens live outside most of the day, foraging on **wide open pastures**. They enjoy sunlight, bugs, fresh air, leading to healthier, more dense nutritious eggs**. 🥰
We Are The LIVING Solution
This is the way to regenerative farming. It’s been proven time and time again. Our ancestors knew, held and kept this knowledge from one generation to another. What has happened?
**Insert more here (?)
This is what Grassroots Farmers seva/gifts/supports/provides/supplies (which word is the right word?) to Mother Earth, to the Land, to Great Spirit, to God, to ourselves and to our communities.
💡**Fun-Fact** Pasture-Raised eggs typically have higher omega-3s and bright yellow-orange yolks thanks to the hens’ varied, natural diet.
